Welcome to Oaklands Nursery, Tonbridge

Oaklands Nursery is a private day care nursery located in Tonbridge.  The Nursery is situated in a beautiful converted house with spacious grounds and is conveniently located for both local residents and commuters to London.

We are open full-time from 7:30am – 6:30pm, caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.

Our philosophy is that every child we care for deserves a calm, caring, safe and stimulating environment in which to learn.

Taking care of our staff’s wellbeing is of prime importance to us and we are proud to have been voted the 14th best place to work in the whole of the UK.

The daily curriculum and standards comply with our registration on the Ofsted Early Years Register, which monitors the overall quality standards of the early years provision, in line with the principles and requirements of the ‘Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage’.

We are open for registrations
and visits

Please call us on 01732 353486 or 07951 796685 to find out more about our nursery or to book a visit.

Best wishes from Dayna and the Oaklands Nursery Team.

We are pleased to report that the majority of our children have now returned to Nursery following the relaxation of social distancing measures by Government.  We recognise that this is a continues to be a worrying and confusing time for parents of young children and that some of the information in the media may add to your concerns.

The Nursery is satisfied, having completed our own comprehensive risk assessment, that it is as safe as possible for our children to return and for our Nursery to remain open, but we are alert to the ongoing risks.

We have reached this conclusion after careful examination of the data at a local level, a detailed reopening plan based on advice from Public Health England (PHE) and an evaluation of the risk to our staff, based on their health and household risk factors.

The UK Chief Medical Officers have issued a statement on education and childcare reopening which states that there is a very low rate of severe disease in children from coronavirus (COVID-19).

However, we thought it would be helpful to provide you with additional information on the more localised picture.

LEARNING

Our main aim is to provide a secure and happy environment where children can learn through play.

SETTLING IN

Your first settling in sessions will give you and your child an opportunity to get to know your child’s key person.

OUTDOORS

We offer daily opportunities for learning outdoors, giving children the freedom to explore, develop and learn.

FOOD

Our menus are designed by the nursery chef and a paediatric dietician to meet the needs of each age group.

“We, as a family, are indebted to you all – you do a fantastic job and make a real difference!”

“Words simply cannot express the appreciation I have for you all.”

“All the people in the nursery that have looked after our children daily have made us feel that our children are lovely and special to them, which is so brilliant to hear as a parent.”

“We cannot praise you enough. We wouldn’t have recommended you to family and friends otherwise.”

Above and Beyond Educational Experiences

We offer a range of unique educational experiences which enable children to become successful, lifelong learners including:

  • Wake up and shake up – an activity to energise the brain using cross-lateral movements
  • A range of bespoke activities which promote your child’s well-being and confidence, including Emotions Boxes and Chatterboxes
  • Garden Champions (RHS School Awards Levels 1, 2 & 3) – our gardening activity which is supported by the Royal Horticultural Society’s School Gardening Awards training programme.
